Gopher Athletics unveiled its recently completed 11,000 square foot renovation project of team areas at 3M Arena at Mariucci. Included in the extensive project was the introduction of a new shooting area to be utilized by both hockey programs.

Becker Arena Products was contracted to handle the creation of the approx. 28′ x 18′ x 9′ ‘two lane’ shooting range. Along with the white, synthetic ice shooting tiles, the installation incorporated protective netting that runs the full length either side and in the middle of the ‘ice’. Conduit-supported steel cables and clamps with black nylon tie-downs were integrated as the support system for both the netting and the 9′ x 17.4′, 22oz. vinyl-coated polyester shooting tarp used to close off the goal end. To complete the project, the Minnesota block ‘M’ logo was added to each side.

Needless to say, we’re very proud to have been a part of such a terrific renovation project, and we hope current and future Gopher’s enjoy the facility for many years to come.
